  • How long has Titan Recycle and Trash been in business?
    Titan Development Group formed in 2007 and acquired the assets of Green Valley Sanitation in March of 2011, and has since been operating as Titan Recycle and Trash. Green Valley Sanitation had been providing trash and recycle service in the Green Valley/Sahuarita area in some form or another for over 10 years.

  • What services does Titan offer?
    Titan provides weekly residential trash and recycle pickup, serving individual residents and homeowners associations in Southern Arizona. Using smaller trucks without automatic loading arms, we specialize in hand serviced accounts, such as those with in-ground containers and communities in which the homeowners otherwise provide their own containers. We can also provide periodic scheduled bulk pickup for HOAs that we have exclusive contracts with for an additional charge (unless built into the existing contract).

  • What areas does Titan service?
    We currently have residential routes servicing the Green Valley/Sahuarita area as well as the Foothills, NW Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana and Catalina. If you are not sure whether we service your area, please contact our office.

  • What are the pickup schedules like for Titan?
    Titan services a variety of once a week and twice a week schedules for different areas and communities. You can check our Collection Schedules tab at the top of the page, or if you don't see your community listed you can call our office and we would be happy to discuss your service days. New customers would be fit into our current route schedules, or in group contract situations, would be negotiated with the HOA Board of Directors and management.

  • Why does Titan use only smaller trucks?
    Over half of the roads in communities throughout Southern Arizona are privately maintained by HOAs, which means that maintenance funds come directly from the homeowners in the form of assessments. Street maintenance is usually the single largest budget expense for private communities, and heavy commercial trucks (and trash trucks specifically) are one of the biggest contributing factors to premature road wear. Titan has made a commitment to using smaller trucks to minimize our impact on our communities' roads.

  • What is the average gross vehicle weight of a normal garbage truck?
    The avergage GVW of most garbage trucks range from 45,000 lbs up to and over 60,000 lbs.

  • What is the average weight of a Titan Recylce & Trash truck?
    The weight of our trucks ranges from 12,000 lbs to 23,000 lbs.

  • How does Titan bill its customers? Are there any fuel surcharges or other additional fees?
    We bill our customers on a quarterly basis, and we always charge a flat rate with no environmental fees, fuel surcharges, etc. The only time you would have an additional charge is for a scheduled bulk pickup of items that are too big for regular trash pickups. We also offer group discounts to HOAs, who can be group billed monthly or quarterly based on their preference.

  • Can I suspend my service for vacation or seasonal absences?
    Yes, our residential customers can place their service on hold for extended absences (at least 30 days) at no charge. Please notify our office via phone call or email, or by written notice on your payment stub attached with your payment, at least 2 weeks prior to leaving, and we will hold/credit your account based on your departure date. Please DO NOT tell your drivers. Please give us at least 2 weeks notice before reinstating service as well.

  • I moved or left for vacation and was still charged for service. Why?
    It is the customer's responsibility to notify our office prior to suspending or canceling service. Without proper notification, the customer will be responsible for any charges that are billed. We have no way of knowing you have left unless we are notified, and therefore the property is still being serviced and costs are still being incurred by Titan, regardless of whether the house is occupied or trash is put out. No credits will be given for past service if proper notification is not given by the customer.

  • Why isn't my pickup at the same time each week?
    While our drivers try to maintain consistent schedules each day, there are many factors that affect the routes and service times, such as: trash volume, road traffic, equipment malfunctions and service, weather conditions, and special pickups. Please allow the drivers the full service day to pick up your trash before taking it in or assuming it wasn't picked up. Regardless of your usual pickup time, we recommend that all materials be put out by 7:00 AM on your service day to ensure pickup in case of unforeseen schedule changes.

  • Will Titan provide me with trash and/or recycle containers?
    Yes, depending on your location. We do not provide trash containers in Green Valley/Sahuarita, but will provide recycle bins if available. Customers in NW Tucson/Oro Valley may be provided with containers. Please call our office to discuss your options. Any customer may put their bags at the curb or use a container of their choice.

  • What if I have extra trash to put out?
    We always try to accommodate our customers' needs. However, many customers put out more trash than we can afford to take in one trip, especially with our smaller trucks. Our general policy is maximum 4 extra bags (in addition to regular weekly trash), but ultimately it is up to the discretion of the driver or supervisor on your route. If you have more than 4 bags, please call our office before your scheduled pickup day to discuss your options. We offer bulk pickups for an additional charge for loads that are too large for regular pickup. If your community has an exclusive service contract with Titan, you will also be provided at least one annual community-wide bulk pickup at no additional charge.

BULK PICKUPS & DUMP TRAILER RENTALS

Ask about our bulk pickup services and dump trailer rentals!  We have dump trailers that we will drop off at your house  for you to fill up, and we will come pick it up when you're done.  One simple flat rate with no landfill fees or fuel surcharges.  Smaller and more convenient than roll-off containers!
